Michal Kajsík
Mgr. Michal Kajsík, PhD.
Scientist in the field of molecular biology and microbiology. As part of his specialization, he has long been working with bacteriophages, microorganism typization and advanced recombinant DNA techniques. His long-term goal is to introduce personalized and specific phage therapy for infectious diseases based on detailed genotyping of pathogens. Since his graduation, he has been creating a collection of bacteriophages capable of infecting the most common bacterial pathogens found in medicine as well as in other industries.
He actively cooperates in the introduction of new diagnostic procedures capable of precisely defining infectious agents. After the advent of massive parallel sequencing methods, he began to specialize in their application in laboratory research of medically important microorganisms and viruses. In 2012, he completed an internship at the School of Science and Technology, Nottingham Trent University, and since September 2014 he has been working at Comenius University as a scientific and pedagogical staff.
He participates in the teaching of students of molecular biology and medical biology at the Faculty of Natutral Sciences, Comenius University. Since 2017, he has been actively cooperating with MEDIREX GROUP ACADEMY n.o. on investigation under several applied research projects.
He cooperates with MEDIREX GROUP ACADEMY on the following projects:
